Director of Operations
Role Overview
The Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Accumedic Computer
Systems, LLC, ensuring that business processes and operational workflows run reliably and in
line with the organization’s obligations to its clients. The role works alongside
engineering, client services and the security and compliance function, and is accountable for
the operational practices that support the delivery of the AccuMed Behavioral Health EHR and
practice management applications.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day business operations and operational workflows.
- Maintain and improve business processes supporting client service delivery.
- Monitor operational performance and escalate issues that affect clients or service levels.
Client Service Delivery
- Ensure operational commitments made to client organizations are met.
- Coordinate between operations, client services and engineering on issues affecting delivery.
- Support onboarding and ongoing operational needs of client organizations.
Workforce and Process
- Provide direction to operational staff and maintain clear ownership of recurring processes.
- Ensure operational procedures are documented, current, and followed.
- Support workforce onboarding and departure in coordination with Human Resources.
Security, Privacy and Compliance
- Ensure operational practices comply with organizational security and privacy policies.
- Report suspected security incidents promptly in accordance with the Security Incident policy.
- Support the Security Officer and Compliance Officer in operational aspects of assessments,
evidence collection and remediation.
- Ensure staff complete required HIPAA and security awareness training.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an operations leadership role, ideally in healthcare software or
a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of business operations and service delivery processes.
- Working knowledge of the obligations that apply to organizations handling protected health
information.
- Effective leadership, decision-making and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration or a
related field, or equivalent practical experience.
